Product Description
Gamers Nexus, in their review of the Intel Core i7-13700k, summed it up well. This CPU is a better version of the 12th Generation Intel Core i9-12900k, but for less money. They have the same core count, meaning Intel brought the specs of this i7 / 13700k to where you previously had to go to an i9 to get that kind of core count.
The 13700k's performance is seated in its 5.4 GHz boost clock, which is a record among i7 series chips, and Intel's addition of more e-cores--4 of them--bringing the total core count to 16 and thread count to 24. Even though Intel still uses the Intel 7 process node, it leveraged a newer revision of the silicon to push clock speeds higher while improving power efficiency. Intel also etched the cores on a new, larger die and added additional L3 and L2 cache.
The Core i7-13700k supports PCIe Gen 5 AKA PCIE5 AKA PCI Express 5.0 and dual channel DDR5 memory. It also has integrated UHD 770 Graphics. No thermal solution is included, but that would just be e-waste anyway.
